Sea Kayaking Skopelos Videos
Here is a selection of videos shot around Skopelos while out sea kayaking, have a look at some of the sea caves, arches and small islands that can be found around the coast of Skopelos.
Exploring Skopelos by sea kayak
The uninhabited island of Dhasi sits about 1km off the west coast of Skopelos, there are several sea caves and tunnels to explore, plus the pine covered island hosts a wide variety of sea birds, falcons and buzzards. Dolphins and seals are also regularly seen in this area.
Kayaking in sea caves
Dhasi has a large sea tunnel that is perfect for sea kayaking through, in the center of the tunnel is a larger chamber where the ceiling is open and allows a cheeky view of the sky in the pitch darkness.
Rock gardening in a sea kayak
At the end of Hovolo beach these huge slabs of rock rise out of the crystal clear waters that surround Skopelos, they act as a gate way to a line of beaches that are only accessible from the sea, keeping these beaches deserted for most of the year.
Rough weather sea kayaking
A beautiful December day just out side Loutraki harbour to the north of Skopelos. The wind was blowing about force 6 from the north, this area is slightly sheltered from the really big seas that batter the north east coast but the fun is just as good with 1 - 2 meter breaking waves, perfect for fighting into and surfing back down.
